Birkenhead Priory exhibition graphics detail

Birkenhead Priory’s Frater Range features an Undercroft, dating from the mid-fourteenth century. The Undercroft houses a small museum. The museum exhibition required updating. We designed new interpretation panels for the existing display cabinets. The panels focussed on the medieval history of the Priory. The content was designed to be read in three ways. Visitors can: read the panels from top to bottom in full; scan the panels for key narrative details in bold; or glance at individual bite-size chunks of information We used informal shapes and a vibrant colour palette, appropriate to the Priory, to create a friendly layout, with illustrations to complement the text and infographics to convey facts succinctly.
