Sometimes less is more. An urban nature reserve on the site of a former railway yard, New Ferry Butterfly Park (a Cheshire Wildlife Trust reserve) is now grassland and woodland. It is inhabited by all kinds of wildlife including butterflies and moths, and required a design solution that would tread lightly. We worked together with the Butterfly Park to produce new art and nature trail leaflets, including a butterfly spotting guide and map, to co-ordinate with new wayfinding posts installed on site.
